This cymbal has a lot of power and great stick definition to it. I had originally been using a 21" Zildjian Z Custom Mega Bell Ride, but I wanted something very pingy, but more controllable. I play in a metalcore band, and I required a ride that could cut through the guitars like the megabell, but in a more refined and versatile manner. This cymbal did not disappoint!! It is very heavy, and very loud, and all for a very good price. It is a pro-quality cymbal, and I can't wait to try some more of the Mist line.
I'm used to a very loud bell, and I was disappointed at the bell on the cymbal, but it is far smaller than what I had been used to previously.
This is a thick, heavy B20 bronze cymbal, and fully hand-hammered like the Zildjian K or Sabian HH range. Beautiful.
If you have tried any of the other Saluda alloys, and haven't been impressed so far, I challenge you not to be impressed with the Mist line. It is a pleasant surprise!!
